Brief introduction
Doris Li-wen Chang, Associate Professor, English department, Fu Jen Catholic University, Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, Graduate Institute of Comparative Literature, Fu Jen Catholic University

She served as Chair of the CEBA Program of the English Department at Fu Jen from Aug. 2008 to July, 2013. Since 1999, she has served as an interpreter for international conferences and activities aiming to promote inter-religious dialogues and cooperation. She has interpreted for renowned Buddhist masters such as the late Venerable Master Sheng-yen, Venerable Chaohwei, and Venerable Guo-dong. She also served as an English examiner and trainer for various government offices such as MOEA, ICDF, Taipei County Government (now New Taipei City Government). 

Her research interests lie in comparative studies of literature and religion, with a focus on Chan Buddhism.  Her dissertation deals with Crises of the Subject, Anatman, Subject-in-Process: Comparative Perspectives on Subjectivity of Lin Yao-de, Chan Master Sheng-yen, and Julia Kristeva. She has published 9 academic papers on peer-reviewed journals, 8 conference papers. Below is a sample list of her publications.
