Brief introduction
Chao-cheng Lin received his Ph.D degree from the Department of Philosophy at National Taiwan University. He has served as the director of the Buddhist Study Research Center, the chief editor of Journal of Religion and Culture of National Cheng-kung University, and the principle of Tainan Community College. Currently, Chao-cheng Lin is a professor of the Department of Chinese Literature and also the head of the board of directors of National Association for the Promotion of Community Universities, (NAPCU). Courses that he is teaching include “Seminar on Chinese Aesthetics,” “Seminar on Nature in Chinese Thought,” “Environmental Ethics,” and “The History of Chinese Thought.”He is the author of the following books: The View of Nature and Aesthetics in the Mysterious Learning of the Weijin Periods, Protection of Lives and Pure Land, Immigration Society and Confucian Ethics, A General Introduction of Buddhist Thought. He is also the editor of the following books, Public Art and Aesthetics in Daily Life, A Gazetteer of Anping District, Essays of the Salt Field Area.
